    Jamila Mayanja wins 2023 Leadership Impact Award

    Our 2015 Dartmouth MWF Alumni won the coveted award at the just ended Fellowship Summit in Washington DC. 

    Jamila is a social entrepreneur and educator who empowers women and girls to transform their lives and communities.  

    Moussa Kondo Speaks at Dartmouth

    The Country Director Sahel Institute for Democracy and Governance in Mali and 2015 Dartmouth MWF Alumni visited campus in September to have governance and policy sessions with students in partnership with the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding. 

    Kwame Owusu Ansah is a Dickey Center & DALI Lab Visiting Scholar

    2022 Dartmouth MWF alumnus and the visionary Founder and President of Techstripped Africa, is returning to Dartmouth for the Fall 2023 term as a Visiting Scholar. In this esteemed position, Kwame will collaborate closely with the DALI Lab and the YALI Coordinator, spearheading a range of innovative tech initiatives. He will also mentor and guide a dedicated team of Computer Science students within the DALI Lab.

    Jamila is a social entrepreneur and educator who empowers women and girls to transform their lives and communities.  In 2012, she founded Smart Girls Uganda, a nonprofit organization that empowers and mentors girls through STEM education, financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, and community development initiatives. Each year, Smart Girls Uganda engages over 150 young women in economic programs and trains peer educators, who have reached 30,000 young people over the program’s lifetime.

    Moussa Kondo Speaks at Dartmouth

    Moussa is also the Former Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Mali in charge of governance, democracy and rule of law, and has worked extensively on international relations at the Presidency of Mali.

    Post his 2022 fellowship, Kwame’s impactful collaborations with the Magnuson Center, DALI Lab, and other notable Dartmouth alumni solidified his reputation as a tech entrepreneur dedicated to uplifting and working alongside tech-focused students. These profound connections highlighted the mutual benefits and shared visions between Techstripped Africa and Dartmouth, setting the stage for Kwame’s return as a staff member.
